Suffice to say, every Dodgers fan on the planet was rooting for the Chicago Cubs to beat the Milwaukee Brewers in Game-5 of the 2025 National League Central Division Series at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Saturday evening.
Why?
A legitimate question that has a simple – and direct – answer:
During the 2025 regular season, Dave Roberts‘ Dodgers went 3-4 against Craig Counsell‘s Cubs, whereas they went 0-6 against Pat Murphy‘s Brewers.
Oh well, it is what it is, as they say.

October 13 at 5:08 p.m. PT at Dodger Stadium (MLB)
The Brewers beat Cubs by a score of 3-1 in a very intense ballgame on Saturday, with all three Brewers runs the result of home runs – a 389-foot solo shot to left-center field by Brewers catcher William Contreras in the bottom of the first, a 383-foot solo blast to left by Brewers first baseman Andrew Vaughn in the bottom of the fourth, and a 416-foot solo shot to center by Brewers second baseman Brice Turang in the bottom of the seventh.
Chicago’s lone run came on a 390-foot solo home run to right by Cubs right fielder Seiya Suzuki in the top of the second to briefly tie the game at 1-1.
