
Casey’s been hot in July for Double-A Tulsa
Tuesday’s highlights across the Dodgers minor leagues include a long winning streak in Low-A, and a big game in Double-A.
Player of the day
Double-A Tulsa centerfielder Donovan Casey tied a season high with four hits, his fourth multi-hit game in his last five. That included a double and three singles, the last of which game the Drillers the lead for good.

On the season, Casey is hitting .292/.360/.451. The 20th-round draft pick in 2017 In July is at .326/.390/.589 with 11 extra-base hits.
Triple-A Oklahoma City
Steven Souza Jr. homered and doubled in Oklahoma City’s loss to the Sugar Land Skeeters (Astros). Edwin Uceta started and allowed four runs, including two home runs, in two innings.
Double-A Tulsa
Tulsa scored in the final six innings to beat the Midland RockHounds (A’s). Ryan Noda homered. Miguel Vargas had three hits.
Ryan Pepiot allowed a season-high three home runs, and four runs in his 4⅔ innings.
High-A Great Lakes
Andy Pages hit his 19th home run but it wasn’t enough in the Loons’ loss to the West Michigan Whitecaps (Tigers). Infielder Deacon Liput, who played second and third base on Tuesday, also homered for Great Lakes.
Liput moved to third base in the second inning, after Brandon Lewis was hit by a pitch on his elbow in the first inning.
Low-A Rancho Cucamonga
Jake Vogel’s RBI triple in the ninth inning lifted the Quakes over the Modesto Nuts (Mariners), the seventh win in as many tries on the road trip for Rancho Cucamonga.
First baseman Sauryn Lao drove in the other two Quakes runs with a double in the sixth, one of two hits on the night for Lao.
Transactions
High-A: Great Lakes activated shortstop Leonel Valera from the injured list after missing two weeks. Valera doubled and singled on Tuesday night.
