The red-hot Dodgers (26-13) look to win their first series of the season against the Padres (20-20) when they face their NL West foes for three games starting Friday night in San Diego. The Boys in Blue have won seven straight games while the Padres are coming off a 4-2 road trip with series wins over the D-backs and Cubs.
Los Angeles ace, Tyler Glasnow (6-1, 2.70 ERA, 11.34 K/9), faces the Padres for the first time since opening day in South Korea. He allowed two runs over five innings in the Dodgers win.
The Friars counter with Michael King (3-3, 4.29 ERA, 4.50 BB/9). Shoehi Ohtani and Mookie Batts have hit five home runs combined against the right-hander.
This will also be the first time the Dodgers face Luis Arraez in a Padres uniform.
Speaking of uniforms, there were some updates to some of the players’ numbers. Andy Pages is now No. 44 and seemingly here to stay in the majors.
The following players have updated their numbers: Michael Grove (29), Gavin Stone (35), Andy Pages (44)
