The Dodgers invited 24 non-roster players to major league camp at Camelback Ranch in Arizona, including 13 pitchers and 11 position players.
The group is headlined by Roki Sasaki, who is going to start the regular season in the major league rotation. But technically posted as an international amateur, Sasaki had to sign a minor league contract, and chose the Dodgers for a $6.5 million signing bonus. Sasaki was voted the best prospect in baseball at multiple national outlets, but the five other Dodgers minor leaguers making top-100 lists were all also invited to camp as non-roster invitees.
Six players with major league experience are non-roster invitees, including 33-year-old former closer Giovanny Gallegos and 32-year-old infielder David Bote.
Dodgers camp opens with pitchers and catchers reporting to Camelback Ranch on February 10, and a first full-squad workout on February 15. Cactus League play begins for the Dodgers on February 20.
We’ll up date this list as roster moves are made throughout spring training.
