The Angels will open the 2022 season in Oakland on March 31, the fifth time in six seasons that they will begin their season there.
Major League Baseball released the entire 2022 schedule Wednesday, including the Angels opening their home schedule April 7 against the Houston Astros.
In interleague play, the American League West will face the National League East, replacing the matchups that were lost when the 2020 schedule was redone and compressed to 60 games because of the pandemic.
The Angels will host the Miami Marlins (April 11-12), Washington Nationals (May 6-8) and New York Mets (June 10-12). They will visit the Marlins (July 5-6), Atlanta Braves (July 22-24) and Philadelphia Phillies (June 3-5).
The Freeway Series will again be a pair of two-game series. The Angels and Dodgers will first play at Dodger Stadium (June 14-15) and then at Angel Stadium (July 15-16).
The series at Angel Stadium is the weekend before the All-Star Game will be played at Dodger Stadium on July 19. Because the Angels and Dodgers are playing a two-game series in Anaheim, with Sunday off, the Angels will have a five-day All-Star break before resuming the schedule in Atlanta.
